Ingredients : Meroplan 1 gm is an antibiotic injection that contains Meropenem as the active ingredient. What it is used for Meropenem is a broadspectrum carbapenem antibiotic used in hospitals to treat serious bacterial infections, such as: Severe lung infections / pneumonia Sepsis (blood infection) Meningitis Complicated urinary tract infections Intraabdominal infections Skin and soft tissue infections Serious infections in ICU patients How it is given Given as an IV injection or IV infusion Administered by a doctor or nurse in a hospital Typical dosing: 1 g every 8 hours (varies by infection and kidney function) Important precautions Only for bacterial infections, not viral illnesses.
